Ingredients
- 1 oz small sweet potato approximately 8 ounces or 8can pumpkin puree
- 10 ounces old fashioned gluten free rolled oats approx. 3 cups
- 3 ounces olive oil packed sardines drained
- 1 in large pasteurized egg for no egg mix use 2.5 Tbs flaxseed meal plus 6 Tbs water. Mixa separate bowl and let sit for few minutes and then stir into the mixture like you would eggs. The treats will have a longer shelf life
- 1- ounce unsalted almond butter
- 2 Tsp fish sauce

- Heat oven to 350 degrees F
- Pierce sweet potato several times with small knife and microwave on HIGH for 6 to 8 minutes until tender.
- Grind oats in food processor or Nutri Bullet for 3 minutes or until the consistency of gluten-free flour. Remove oats from food processor and set aside.
- Combine sweet potato pulp, sardines, egg or flax and almond butter in food processor. Pulse 10f to 12 times until mixture forms a thick paste, there will be some lumps.
- Add 2 cups of the ground oats and pulse an additional 10 to 12 times, until the mixture starts to come together. Similar to pie dough, it will look dry but should hold together when pressed.
- Sprinkle work surface with some of the remaining oat flour and roll the dough to ¼ inch thickness. Cut into treats using a pizza wheel or small bite size cookie cutters.
- Bake on a parchment paper-lined half sheet pan 30 to 40 minutes or until treats appear dry and lightly browned on the bottom. Turn off the oven, brush with the fish sauce, if desired, and let the treats dry in the oven for 1 hour.
- Store in an airtight container for 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months.
